Still trudging along with AP classes and portfolio shit and all that.

Anyway, i was thinking I would take pics of my portfolio pieces and upload them, and maybe you guys could give some feedback? I'm trying to make my pieces as quality as they can be to get into RISD or CalArts.

Hey guys! 

So not like I've been updating much anyway, huh? 

Well I just finished my junior year of highschool and its time to get cracking on college stuff. So far, I've created a spreadsheet of what the colleges I'm applying to require.
All of them require some sort of portfolio, which I am currently creating and shaping into what I think is my best at the moment.
CalArts also requires an entire sketchbook, which I have to send in and which I am currently terrified of. I have never finished a sketchbook in my life, and now i have to create one that is both FILLED and interesting.

Aside from college stuff, I am also enrolled in several AP classes my senior year (World History, Art History, Drawing Studio, English) that require a buttload of summer work (5 books to read....). On top of that, and which I consider the most overwhelming, is I have to create 5 original artworks in two months (and if you've been watching me for some time, you should notice that it takes me a month or so to even make ONE). 

I'm also making a cosplay for Boston Comic Con in August but dont tell my teachers that..........



So anyway, all this work as well as marching band and college classes means I have little time to actually create artwork for this page like I usually do! Although I might consider creating a tumblr page specifically to upload and share pages of my sketchbook as I make them, so at least you guys are getting /something/.


Hopefully by the end of the summer and the start of my GASP senior year of highschool, I will be able to squeeze in some fanart that I know yall love (and I as well). Until then, see you on the other side.

also I just finished my AP tests so yay! more painting time! and then finals.

So I'm finally back from the best 4-weeks of my life. Very bittersweet, cos my friends at camp are so much better than those in my town, like I dont have to worry about them secretly hating me lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

surprisingly i only cried a little. I was also the last one to leave lol well besides international campers but they dont count.

i have a lot of art trades to do but i also have band camp this coming week and then i have to do all my summer work and crap ugh i just want to DRAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

For some reason I thought I had finally found my niche when I made that KristAnna piece but after several pieces not looking good in the final form, I think I pretty much gave up that way of drawing/painting. I've even managed to backtrack a year into my pixel lineart days and pukingly bright colors. I;m still trying to force myself to finish things/edit things until they look nice but that's kinda hard for someone like me who is heavily influenced by novelty and is quick to get bored of things. 

I also don't have a scanner at my dads, and the scanner at my moms doesnt wirelessly connect anymore (fuck you HP) so I have to find the cable and I'm just so laaaazyyyyyy

In other news, I made up two (three) OCs and I'm trying to make up referecnes for art trades I'm planning, but I can't find a generic enough pose to make without finding them so boooorrrinnngggg and so overdone (look up definition of generic and you'll see my predicament)

eh, back to the drawing board I guess. Maybe I'll find my watercolors and try those out again. Bleh.
